Vemaro Support · Montréal and Laval
Private home support in Montréal and Laval, provided by personal support workers (PABs) who are salaried Vemaro employees and supervised by a nurse.
Not for emergencies: dial 911.
Support is organized around a service plan prepared by the supervising nurse. Our PABs are there to support, accompany and observe.
Help with dressing, hygiene (for example bathing), eating and moving around the home, with respect for the person’s privacy and independence.
Presence and help with daily life: meals, errands, appointments, outings. A break for family caregivers.
A reassuring presence during the night, so that the person and their family can sleep more easily.
Home nursing care: on assessment
PABs do not provide nursing care. If the assessment identifies a need for nursing care, the supervising nurse will discuss it with you and explain the options available.
Before we begin, the supervising nurse meets the person and their family to understand their needs, habits and priorities. The initial assessment is free and carries no obligation. Support is then organized around that assessment, with a regular PAB supervised by a nurse.
We offer daytime, evening and overnight support. Evening, night and weekend hours carry a premium; rates are shared during the assessment.

In Québec, certain acts are reserved for nurses. For our clients, a PAB never performs them, even on request. This is not a refusal to help: it is for your safety.
For a medical need, speak with the supervising nurse: she will direct you to the right service. Not for emergencies: dial 911.
The list of reserved acts will be confirmed by legal review [to be confirmed: legal review]
The Québec government offers a refundable tax credit to seniors (age 70 and over) for certain home support service expenses, such as personal care, meal help and non-specialized supervision.
The credit is refundable: it can be granted even if no tax is payable. The rate, ceiling and conditions are set by Revenu Québec and may change from year to year.
This information is general and is not tax advice. Vemaro does not promise any tax credit and cannot confirm your eligibility: check your situation with Revenu Québec or your advisor.
